PICTURES OF TOKYO - JAPAN, NOV. 2012
Shinagawa, Tsukiji & Gynza, Nov. 2012
Gallery of pictures with the excellent Sony Alpha NEX-7 ILC mirrorless camera, going around Tokyo shooting pictures and finding angles very early in the morning.
I used the incredibly sharp Carl Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 prime lens, and enjoyed the sights at the Tsukiji fish market and nearby Gynza district.
I finally wrapped up my session with angles of the city and the Shinagawa train station at sunrise, and the amazing Fuji mountain peak and its perpetual snow (only for the 2nd time in 11 years visiting Japan).
It was such an inspiring and beautiful sight...!

VINTAGE CAR AUDIO
Colombia, late 80's / early 90's
My early years in the Car Audio industry were as a complete fanatic, devouring anything and everything relating to Head Units, Equalizers, Amplifiers, Speakers and Subwoofers, that I could get my hands on.
It was a really great time and the very beginning of my career as an expert in the field in Latin America.
These are some of the early products I loved or had at the time, and my memories about them.

WITH MY KP61 & RODSPEED @ NRTG MIAMI 2013
Miami, FL. February 2013
Last Saturday, Feb. the 23rd was a full day of cars @ the Miami Marlins Stadium parking, for the NUROTAG show.
I participated with my semi-finished '82 Toyota Starlet (a KP61), as part of the RODSPEED team leaded by Rodrigo and Matías. The video is a quick summary I made of the cars in our team and other notorious rides at the show, the Stance trend going strong in the USA, and the obvious effort by each owner behind those rides. Click on the picture or the following link to go to the Gallery of pictures from the show.

2012 NY STATE CAR MEET
NY State, July 2012
A blast from the past... the American Muscle-car era past that is, as I visited last July '12, one of the summer weekly Car Meets they have near the Newburgh / Cornwall / West Point area in NY State.
It was a beautiful afternoon, and I shot many pictures of what it looked like a 200+ cars gathering in the hills of NY State.
Even though there were several exotics, many Motorcycles and a few Sport Compacts plus modern USA muscle examples, I'm rather focusing here on the older American Iron with some vintage import examples here and there.
Enjoy!

BARRETT-JACKSON COLLECTOR-CAR AUCTION
Palm Beach FL, April 2012
Incredible cars from all origins and styles, gather at one big auction event, close to home.
The Barrett-Jackson's Collector-Car Auctions back in April 2012 was a highlight in the Spring season, with beautiful collectible examples, classics, muscle cars, European vehicles and even some nice 4x4s.
The weather was great, the prices surprised me for actually being lower than I expected in case of some fine rides, and there also was a nice exhibition and sale of car memorabilia and even art.
Definitely worth a visit instead of just watching it on SPEED channel!

VACATIONS IN COLOMBIA
Colombia, December 2011
Spending time back in the country of birth after a while is always good, and watching the girls having fun, enjoying their little cousin Alejo, and talking with their Grand-Grand Mother, Abi Judith, makes it even more special...!
And what can I say about the food...! Corn Mazamorra with Panela, Cuajada cheese, Colombian Coffee with milk, Milo for the girls, and so much more, made the trip even better, while having lunch at one of the best Italian Food Restaurants in the world with close friends and family at Salerno Hermanos Restaurant in Cali, was great too!

2011 MIAMI AUTO SHOW
Miami, November 2011
I had the opportunity to go with my friend and colleague Gustavo Viñas to check the 2011 Miami Auto Show, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center as always.
Although the show was a little bit toned-down in terms of participating brands and the size and quality of the booths/exhibitions, it was notable the presence of the Korean brands and some up-and-coming ones such as Fiat (although only with the 500). Hyundai was heavily promoting their new Veloster, while VW had their new Passat and Land Rover had their new Range Rover Evoque.
Even with only a few exotic examples from the top brands, we were also able to check a few Ferrari, Aston Martin, Audi, Cadillac and the Lexus LFA. Check the picture gallery by clicking on the Cobra image on the left.
PICTURES FROM CHILE
Santiago, November 2011
A picture selection of the architecture in Santiago, as well as our time with colleagues in the Chilean capital.
The weather was great and we were able to cover the full dealer-call schedule, through many of the key stores from the "Top-3" dealers in the country (Paris, Falabella & Ripley), plus a couple of Sony Style shops.
Also during the first night, we enjoyed a nice dinner @ the famous "Miraolas restaurant", which included 'UNI' (sea urchin) in the menu, plus several other seafood delicacies from this southern-cone nation.
We stayed at the new NOI hotel, which was pretty good choice overall, although my friend Fernando wouldn't recommend for its room service.
CAR WASH FOR STARLET BEFORE THE MEETING
Doral & Kendall, November 2011
PICTURES FROM THE INTL. MALL CAR SHOW
Doral, FL. Oct. 2011
Although under a cloudy day @ the International Mall parking lot, we had a great time in the Open Car Show, that included many American Muscle cars, Import Japanese classics, English coupes, a De Lorean, a De Tomaso Pantera and some other fine examples of automotive engineering and design.
My cousin José Eduardo surely would've been all over the incredibly clean 1/4-mile Drag Chevy Nova coupe (at least enjoy the pictures Jose...!)
I personally enjoyed briefly chatting with the vintage imports guys, which is how I got to know such fine group of Japanese imports enthusiasts, while my girls had fun and some face-painting done with wifey.
Definitely a great event!

LIGHTHOUSE POINT CAR MEET
Small Custom Car enthusiasts gathering, April 2011
We enjoyed a Saturday afternoon north of South Florida at a VW and Custom Car Meet in Lighthouse Point, FL. with the girls and wifey.
The parking lot wasn't full (we heard people really start showing up at sunset time) but nonetheless we did enjoy the custom rat-rod car and VW examples that were available.
Like always, Camila did enjoy posing for the camera...
